Providing students, educators and researchers access to documentary media content as an independent museum and community comms consultancy.
Through the creative use of documentary media (e.g. documentary films, photography, audio, and new media) we co-curate exhibitions, events and immersive experiences that connect individuals with the world around them.
Our charity works across the Leicestershire and Rutland area; we've been helping people who have been homeless or at risk of homelessness since 2012.
We provide supported accommodation and community projects to those across Leicestershire. We have over 100 bed spaces for those that are homeless or at risk of homelessness providing support to move from crisis to independence, addressing any support needs and teaching independent living skills so they can secure accommodation and move on to positively contribute to their communities. We also provide tenancy floating support to prevent tenancy’s failing and stop the cycle of homelessness.
Our community projects include 7 day centres (1 per district) for those that are rough-sleeping, socially isolated or vulnerable in their community.
The Trust provides free advice to clients on matters such as welfare benefits, debt, housing and employment. The team work closely with Oadby & Wigston PCN, and the local foodbanks.
Homeshare Leicestershire connects people wanting companionship and some help around their home, with people looking for affordable accommodation.
Homeowners are people who live in their own accommodation. They have a spare bedroom and are happy to share other areas of their home such as the kitchen and the bathroom.
In return for 10 hours a week of assistance with cleaning, cooking, shopping or companionship, Homesharers can enjoy rent free accommodation with our homeowners.
Homesharing is a cost-effective way to support adults to live independently in their own homes and provide low cost and well-maintained accommodation for homesharers.
Formed in 2007, Leicester City in the Community are one of the official charities of Leicester City Football Club.
Funded by the Premier League Charitable Fund (PLCF), the Premier League Professional Footballers’ Association Community Fund (PL PFA) and other local and national funders, our activities include education, community, and football development opportunities for individuals, groups and communities across Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland.
To help positively engage our diverse communities, we continue to grow our staff team through six core values – we engage, inspire, and empower through togetherness, respect, and pride.
