Baby Basics Leicester is a volunteer-led charity aiming to support families who are struggling to meet the financial and practical burden of looking after a new baby or young child. We provide much needed essentials and equipment for free on a referral basis.
We seek to inspire children to lead healthy, active lives through sport and countryside education, reaching more than 4,000 primary age and special needs youngsters every year. We take sport into schools, offer out-of-school community coaching and host outstanding days of outdoor learning on the Belvoir Estate.
Big Difference Company are a charity that produce arts festivals and projects that improve wellbeing across the UK. It is the charity responsible for the hugely successful Leicester Comedy Festival & The UK Kids' Comedy Festival which run annually in February across Leicestershire and beyond. We use our knowledge and expertise to offer bespoke responses to our partners at the heart of our community through our network of comedians, performers and cultural practitioners to tackle challenging subjects and break down barriers while delivering serious messages.
b inspired is a multi-purpose Community Anchor organisation in Braunstone, Leicester. Working to improve the lives of people in Braunstone through a range of services, including: Foodbank, Food Pantry, Be-friending for over 55's, Men's Groups, Mental Health projects, volunteer opportunities and training, community activities, health promotion, a Community Hub with a Community Café and a wide range of children and Young Peoples activities.
We make and share resources and training to help asylum seekers, refugees and other disadvantage second language speakers with cultural integration, English language and literacy learning, wellbeing and women's and men's health. We work those supporting both adults and children / young people in a wide range of settings across the UK. We do some direct workshop delivery both online and to support the work of community organisations in Leicester, Loughborough and surrounding areas.

CFF supports young people and their families with mental health, behaviour relationship and communication challenges. We do this through groupwork and 1 to 1 support. We also provide groupwork facilitation training to professionals.
Charity Link finds funding for local people in need who are experiencing financial hardship to provide essential items such as cookers, fridges, washing machines, beds, clothing, mobility/disability aids and in emergencies, support with food and utilities. These items improve wellbeing, dignity and standard of living and ensure that local people are independent, warm, clean, safe and fed. We work with 250 charities and community organisations to get the help to those who need it, when they need.
We collect brand new pairs of pyjamas for children and young people, aged between new-born and 18 years old. The pyjamas are distributed to hospitals, hospices, hospital at home teams and women's refuges throughout the UK. They are then given to children who are poorly or disadvantaged.
The Children’s Hospital School provides education for students who are too ill to attend their mainstream school. Our students join us following a referral supported by medical evidence. Our role is to nurture, support, educate and enable students to reintegrate as, when and if appropriate. We teach in four school bases and in children’s homes. We aim to provide outstanding education and care in partnership with other agencies.
