Covid-19 and Flu Vaccines
Flu vaccination is safe and effective. It’s offered every year through the NHS to help protect people at risk of getting seriously ill from flu.
The flu vaccine is given free on the NHS to adults who are 65 and over, have certain health conditions, are pregnant, are in long-stay residential care, are a carer or live with someone with a weakened immune system.

Hospital Covid-19 and Flu Vaccination Clinics
Leicester Royal Infirmary, Infirmary Square, Leicester, LE1 5WW
All clinics operate every Monday, Tuesday and Saturday between 8.30am-12pm and 1pm-4.45pm.
Leicester General Hospital, Gwendolen Rd, Leicester, LE5 4PW
All clinics operate every Tuesday and Friday between 8.30am-12pm and 1pm-4.45pm.
Glenfield General Hospital, Groby Rd, Leicester, LE3 9QP
All clinics operate every Monday, Thursday and Sunday between 8.30am-12pm and 1pm-4.45pm.
Specialist Covid and flu vaccination clinics for people with a learning disability
All appointments for the learning disability vaccination clinics need to be booked in advance to ensure the session can be managed to suit patient needs.
Bookings can be made by telephone: 0116 497 5700, and select option 1, giving the person’s name, age and details of any requirements or adaptations needed.
The telephone line is open Mondays to Fridays 8am – 8pm and on Saturdays between 9am – 5pm.
Belvoir Shopping Centre, Coalville LE67 3XA (Drive-thru vaccination clinic)

Although this clinic is designed primarily for people with learning disabilities, other eligible people can also attend for their vaccines. Please note that that people will need to buy a car parking ticket for the Belvoir Shopping Centre car park. A half hour appointment can be booked in advance by calling 0116 497 5700; alternatively people can just turn up, although this will mean less time is allocated for their jabs.
