What is an Integrated Care Board?

NHS Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) are statutory bodies established from 1 July 2022, to replace Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

This means the functions of the Leicester City CCG, East Leicestershire and Rutland CCG and West Leicestershire CCG, are now called NHS Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Integrated Care Board.

The ICB is part of an Integrated Care System (ICS) with partners across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland and will deliver a health and care system approach that tackles inequalities in health, delivers improvements to the health and wellbeing and experience of local people and provides value for money.
