Complementary and alternative therapies are <strong>NOT ROUTINELY FUNDED<\/strong> (NRF) by the ICB as \u201cstand-alone\u201d treatments due to a paucity of information on clinical effectiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In <strong>certain<\/strong> circumstances, some of the procedures are commissioned as part of a broader contract with a mainstream provider (for example specialist pain management, oncology, palliative care and musculoskeletal [MSK] services) in a multi-disciplinary approach to symptom control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td>Complementary and alternative therapies are <strong>not<\/strong> commissioned by the ICB &nbsp;as stand-alone treatment.<br><br>The alternative and complimentary therapies and alternative disciplines covered by this policy include:<br><br> \u2022 Acupuncture \u2022 Alexander Technique \u2022 Anthroposophical medicine \u2022 Aromatherapy \u2022 Bach and other flower remedies \u2022 Chinese herbal medicine \u2022 Chiropractic \u2022 Crystal therapy \u2022 Dowsing \u2022 Eastern medicine \u2022 Healing Nutritional medicine \u2022 Herbal medicine \u2022 Homeopathy Hypnotherapy \u2022 Iridology \u2022 Kinesiology \u2022 Maharishi Ayurvedic medicine \u2022 Massage \u2022 Meditation \u2022 Naturopathy \u2022 Neutralising Antigens\/clinical ecology\/environmental medicine \u2022 Osteopathy \u2022 Pilates \u2022 Radionics \u2022 Reflexology&nbsp; \u2022 Shiatsu \u2022 Traditional Chinese medicine \u2022 Yoga<br><br><br>N.B.
