In Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland we provide Think Carer, a carer awareness training for professionals, paid staff and volunteers, in charities and public sector, who work with members of the public and come across carers. Supporting professionals and organisations to identify unpaid carers and help them access available support.
In East Sussex, we provide free practical and emotional advice to unpaid carers, run carers groups and social and wellbeing activities for carers of all ages. We offer support and training to professionals working with carers and support carers to have a voice.
Through research, events, webinars and workshops we aim to deliver social impact to address equity issues and identify good practice examples which recognise our shared himan priorities under 2 themes of personal peace and climate ( to include food, water, air, good sleep, equality, wellbeing and mental health). Bringing communities together to develop new ways worki g together independent of politics, religion, life style, commercial or other vested interests whilst respecting all these to the extent of enabling progress.
CFF supports young people and their families with mental health, behaviour relationship and communication challenges. We do this through groupwork and 1 to 1 support. We also provide groupwork facilitation training to professionals.
Through Changing Connections we are helping people across Rutland and the Melton Borough of Leicestershire to build stronger connections and support networks within their local community. By doing this we hope to help relieve pressure on health and other emergency services by reducing the number of people relying on them for things that the community is better placed to support.
