Bharat Sports Club is Leicester’s oldest minority-led cricket club. We have over 90 members, with three senior mens teams, a women's team and youth boys and girls teams. At the heart of our work is a commitment to empowering young people and underrepresented communities, particularly those from Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic backgrounds - we are currently expanding our youth and women’s cricket programmes not just to improve technical cricket skills, but to build confidence, resilience, and ambition—especially among girls and young women who face cultural, social, or economic barriers to participation.

We care for a 2,000-mile-long, 200-year-old, network of canals, rivers, reservoirs, and docks. We believe that life is better by water.
Our research shows that spending time by water, whether it be your lunchbreak, daily commute or just a weekend stroll, can make us feel happier and healthier.
With ever-increasing rates of obesity, stress, and declining mental health, our Waterways & Wellbeing social prescribing project supports people where they live. Our canals and rivers run through some of the most heavily populated communities in England and Wales, providing accessible green and blue space where it’s needed the most.
