Daryeel Autism was established to combat health inequalities in general and help the Somali Community access public services in the stigma surrounding general mental health that induces them to hide before it is too late. Parents with hidden disabilities such as Autism blindly shield their children from the harsh outdated cultural norm of stigma. The senior worker, Hashim Duale MBE, has 22 years of experience as a community worker; 16 years he worked for NHS.
I am an adviser on a range of Somali development issues including housing, education, health, policy, language and culture offering impartial and professional advice with vast connections and networks to meet high standards of delivering my assignments. I lobby and press the authorities to address the inequalities the Somali community faces, and advise to address the inequalities. My currency and commodity are trustworthy and my earned trust that my community and colleagues vested in me. My weakness is to say it as it is without masking with respect at the ears of the party itself without a megaphone to all.

We provide supported accommodation and community projects to those across Leicestershire. We have over 100 bed spaces for those that are homeless or at risk of homelessness providing support to move from crisis to independence, addressing any support needs and teaching independent living skills so they can secure accommodation and move on to positively contribute to their communities. We also provide tenancy floating support to prevent tenancy’s failing and stop the cycle of homelessness.
Our community projects include 7 day centres (1 per district) for those that are rough-sleeping, socially isolated or vulnerable in their community.
Working in partnership with FareShare UK, FareShare Midlands is the largest food redistribution charity in the region, feeding over 80,000 people every week. We receive surplus food into our network of warehouses where it is sorted, stored and shared with around 800 charities and community groups. These members turn the food into delicious nutritious meals, affordable shopping and food parcels. As well as food, our members provide other vital services to people living in food poverty. In addition, our Employability programmes offer training, work experience and interviews to people who are struggling to find employment or re-enter the workforce.
