Formed in 2007, Leicester City in the Community are one of the official charities of Leicester City Football Club.
Funded by the Premier League Charitable Fund (PLCF), the Premier League Professional Footballers’ Association Community Fund (PL PFA) and other local and national funders, our activities include education, community, and football development opportunities for individuals, groups and communities across Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland.
To help positively engage our diverse communities, we continue to grow our staff team through six core values – we engage, inspire, and empower through togetherness, respect, and pride.
Sapcote Memory Hub is a not-for-profit organisation for people with mild to moderate dementia, or memory problems providing cognitive stimulation therapy, activities & social interaction, we also offer advice and support to the families of our group members.
Sessions aim to actively stimulate and engage people with dementia or memory problems, whilst providing an optimal learning environment and the social benefits of a group.
The main focus of the Foundation's work is to ease loneliness and suffering and to offer comfort and support to the elderly and adults of all ages with disabilities, throughout the Leicestershire area.

SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity is a trusted source of practical, emotional, and financial support for serving personnel, veterans and their families in their time of need. In 2021 our trained teams of volunteers and employees helped more than 66,000 people, from Second World War veterans to those who have served in more recent conflicts, or currently serving (both regulars and reserves), and their families.

At ADRE, we support people in the early stages of cognitive decline/dementia, families and friends living in the community. We support them to live independently for as long as possible. Our qualified staff deliver individual and group activity programmes specifically designed to be fun, keep brains active, and improve self-confidence. We host monthly workshops were carers can learn how to support their loved ones. At our Base, our Community Coffee Shop and Hub provides a friendly warm and safe space, where people with shared experiences can relax and feel supported.
The Baldwin Trust is a volunteer run charity providing small group, fully crewed narrowboat trips along the scenic and tranquil Leicestershire waterways. We've been operating for 40 years. Our two boats are located at Barrow Boating (Barrow upon Soar) and Leicester Marina (Thurmaston) and have ramps and lifts for easy boarding, so no stairs. Each boat can carry up to 12 passengers, with a maximum of 4 wheelchair users per boat and have spacious cabins, kitchen galley and toilet onboard. We operate 7 days a week from 1 April to 31 October (river levels permitting).
