It is with deep sorrow that the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Integrated Care Board (LLR ICB) acknowledge the passing of Her Majesty The Queen.
All of us will have our reflections and our memories of what has been a remarkable reign with her Platinum Jubilee celebrated earlier this year. Her Majesty The Queen celebrated some of the greatest moments with us, but most importantly was with us at more difficult times, providing hope, inspiration and confidence.
Her Majesty The Queen honoured the NHS with the award of the George Cross earlier this year, for the NHS’s compassion and courage over the last 74 years but particularly during the pandemic.
Amanda Pritchard, Chief Executive of NHS England described it as ‘our proudest moment in the NHS’.
