Members of the public are invited to join Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Integrated Care Board’s (LLR ICB) Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday 26 September.
The AGM will be an opportunity for members of the public, partners and stakeholders to look back at progress and achievements during 2023-24, and find out about the ICB’s financial position and priorities, as the ICB reflects on its second year of overseeing local health services and sets out its plans for the year ahead.
The LLR ICB was formally established in July 2022, when it replaced the three Clinical Commissioning Groups that covered the LLR area. ICBs are responsible for making plans to meet the health needs of local people and for arranging and managing the budget for NHS services.
The AGM will take place on Thursday 26 September between 6pm and 7pm at the Leicester Tigers Rugby Club, Aylestone Road, Leicester, LE2 7TR, with registration and refreshments from 5.30pm.
Dr Caroline Trevithick, Chief Executive of the LLR ICB, said: “This is an opportunity to find out first-hand how we have been planning and delivering local health services to meet the needs of our population and what closer partnerships across our local health and social care system have meant for us, our patients and the services they receive. Our Board members will also be available to provide an overview of key successes and to answer any questions you may have during a questions and answers session.
“As well as dealing with challenges in the NHS, there have been positive developments which we would like to share with people, and I would encourage anyone with an interest in local health services to attend.”
Anyone wishing to attend the meeting should contact LLR ICB before Friday 20 September, by email: llricb-llr.enquiries@nhs.net or by telephone: 0116 295 3405.They will then be contacted with an agenda and further details of where they will need to go to at the venue.
Any questions should be submitted in advance so that responses can be planned and provided at the meeting where possible. Anyone wishing to ask a question is requested to email llricb-llr.enquiries@nhs.net by Friday 20 September.
