If you’re aged 55 to 74, you’ll receive an invitation for Lung Cancer Screening. However, only people who have a history of smoking will be offered an assessment. This helps make sure we don’t miss anyone whose GP records might not be fully up to date.

If you’ve never smoked, you can ignore the letter.

We’re rolling out Lung Cancer Screening across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland in phases over the next few years.
