If you’re aged 55 to 74, and are an ever smoker (smoked more than 100 tobacco based products in your lifetime) you’ll receive an invitation for Lung Cancer Screening. Only people who have a history of smoking will be sent a letter.

If you’ve never smoked, you can ignore the letter.

We’re rolling out Lung Cancer Screening across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland in phases starting in 2026.
