Peepul Centre, a multi-purpose Community and Arts Centre offers a range of 'Lifestyle and Health & Well Being Activities’: theatre, children's nursery, gym, art spaces, training rooms, function rooms, restaurant and bars. We serve the local community at every stage of life through in-house projects, partnering with organisations and through our wide-ranging tenants.
In December 2020, the Centre with NHS was a regional Covid vaccination hub. The Mental Wellbeing Peepul Crisis Café is running since 2022. NHS and others work at Peepul Centre on health programmes including Weight Management, Diabetes, Covid-rehab and Immunisation. The Centre is fully accessible.
We provide free face to face debt advice looking at all debt solutions and deal with all budgeting issues, increasing client's financial capability skills. There is a huge link between mental and physical health problems and debt. We deal with the root issues of debt and money management. We also sell our money management courses to local employers to help employees become less stressed and sick due to debt and money issues. We have a variety of packages to suit all. We attend local primary and secondary schools to educate local young people on all money matters
Ethical Business Exchange is a not for profit company limited by guaratee that offers strategy planning, programme development and evaluation services for VCSE organisations. We also develop and deliver projects for social good.
Inspire2tri was born from a passion for helping people to realise fitness achievements, whatever their starting point, goals, ambitions or their ‘life’ challenges. We became a Community Interest Company in January 2016, locking our assets for charity and operating not for profit.
Inspire2tri strives to provide a friendly non-threatening and enjoyable environment for the novice, older or rehabilitating exerciser, as well as creating an up-tempo supportive partnership that will challenge both your body and mind to strive for the next performance level!
Voluntary run group providing hot lunches for the elderly and vulnerable in our area once a week. A chance for people to meet up with friends as well as getting a low cost 2 course hot meal.
A Parish Council provides assistance, advice & provides facilities to the local community. It also has representatives on other local charities, Boards & Voluntary organisations. We also take an interest in the two primary schools & donate prizes to outstanding students, maintain parish assets e.g memorial gardens & othe items of public furniture. Care for the health, safety & security of parishioners.
The relief of financial hardship amongst people in Leicester city, Leicestershire and the surrounding area or in other parts of the United Kingdom by: a) providing emergency food, essential toiletries, and household items to individuals and families in need and/or for distribution by charities or other organisations working to prevent or relieve poverty b) such other means, including the provision of support or signposting to relevant information and other advisory service. c) Provide training in relation to the effective running of a charity involved in food poverty, large scale distribution of essential items, working with volunteers and advisory agencies.
Small Registered charity providing totally free accredited courses, parenting workshops, support and advice, Mental health support and in house therapist, Free pre loved "shop', sensory room, sexual health services and creche to young parents and their families, any young parents from Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland are welcome to join us.
Leicestershire Leicester and Rutland Headway is a charity providing support and services to local people following an acquired or traumatic brain injury and their families. A brain injury can happen to anyone at any stage in their life with causes including (but not limited to) stroke, falls, assaults, road traffic collisions, illness and infection. Brain injuries affect every aspect of a persons life and can have a life long impact.
We seek to inspire children to lead healthy, active lives through sport and countryside education, reaching more than 4,000 primary age and special needs youngsters every year. We take sport into schools, offer out-of-school community coaching and host outstanding days of outdoor learning on the Belvoir Estate.
