The Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR) ICB has appointed Caroline Trevithick as its Interim Chief Executive Officer.
Caroline is currently the ICB’s Chief Nursing Officer and Deputy Chief Executive and has extensive knowledge of the LLR system. She has held a variety of senior leadership positions in healthcare settings, at local, regional and national level for more than 20 years. In July 2021, Caroline was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by Loughborough University for her leadership of the LLR Covid Vaccination Programme.
Caroline said: “I am delighted to be taking up this role and look forward to working with colleagues and system partners to continue to build on the great work already taking place for the benefit of the people who live and work across our diverse communities.”
Caroline will begin her new role on 23 November and will replace Andy Williams, following his decision to retire.

“Caroline has vast experience of the local area and of working with our partners. She demonstrated during the interview her dedication and passion for working with staff, patients and the public to shape great healthcare for all.

Andy Williams, the current Chief Executive of LLR ICB added: “I am really pleased for Caroline, and I know she will bring all her drive and passion to this role. I have really enjoyed working with Caroline over the last four years and I wish her every success for the future.”
