Through research, events, webinars and workshops we aim to deliver social impact to address equity issues and identify good practice examples which recognise our shared himan priorities under 2 themes of personal peace and climate ( to include food, water, air, good sleep, equality, wellbeing and mental health). Bringing communities together to develop new ways worki g together independent of politics, religion, life style, commercial or other vested interests whilst respecting all these to the extent of enabling progress.
CFF supports young people and their families with mental health, behaviour relationship and communication challenges. We do this through groupwork and 1 to 1 support. We also provide groupwork facilitation training to professionals.
Co-operative and Social Enterprise offers business advice and support for people in Leicester and Leicestershire who want to start, or receive ongoing support with, running a Co-operative, Social Enterprise or Community Interest Company. CASE has proudly assisted many local organisations for 40 years and offers a wealth of knowledge about legal structures, financial and business planning and marketing. CASE advisors offer mentoring and ongoing support to anyone with a passion for helping their community.
Coalville CAN is a community co-operative working across LE67, looking to create happier and healthier communities and citizen led regeneration. We take an asset-based approach working with individuals and communities to build on their strengths and passions to make a difference. We are community owned and look to take on places and spaces to be owned and run by the community. We run a creative community space, and a wide range of community led projects.
The Community Advice & Law Service offers specialist advice, casework and representation on social welfare law, including debt, welfare benefits, housing and immigration. We also offer advice on energy issues.
The local branch of Mind, serving the people of Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland Mind
The LCPCF is a Dfe funded forum representing the City of Leicester within the National Network of Parent Carers Forums for parent carers of SEND children and young people. LCPCF works with the LA, EHC providers and third-sector organisations to improve services in Leicester City. We will work with parents and carers of children 0-25years, the Local Authority and the NNPCF regionally and nationally to assess, develop, improve, or maintain those services.
Leicester Council of Faiths has become widely recognised as a key player in establishing, maintaining and promoting Leicester’s reputation as a place where people of different religions and beliefs co-exist peacefully. Our current membership includes representatives of the city’s Bahá’Ã, Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Jain, Jewish, Muslim, Pagan and Sikh communities. We work alongside other groups and organisations that encourage tolerance, mutual respect, community cohesion and a world-embracing vision.
The Leicester Counselling Centre provides affordable, long-term, counselling support to adults who are experiencing mental health, social and emotional distress that disrupts their daily living. Our service reaches individuals across Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland, making us one of the largest general counselling providers in Leicestershire. The Centre is an organisational member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), abiding by their Standards of Practice and Ethical Framework.
Leicester Musical Memory Box are a non-profit organisation promoting the use of music, singing and personalised playlists to enhance health and well-being to both the English speaking and South Asian communities. Our work is primarily for those affected by dementia, including their carers in group settings in and around Leicestershire and also online. We can also offer home visits and work with those with other health conditions who would benefit.
