African Network is an organisation for Africans and those of African heritage who share and believes in the furtherance of the objectives of the Africans. Members are Africans and those of Africa heritage living in Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland. The organisation’s primary goal is to share ideas, information and network with each all Africans. The anatomies of the organisation are to empower, support, promote and embed Africans into the mainstream services that are available as well as raised the aspirations of members and their communities to achieve their full potentials.

Big Difference Company are a charity that produce arts festivals and projects that improve wellbeing across the UK. It is the charity responsible for the hugely successful Leicester Comedy Festival & The UK Kids' Comedy Festival which run annually in February across Leicestershire and beyond. We use our knowledge and expertise to offer bespoke responses to our partners at the heart of our community through our network of comedians, performers and cultural practitioners to tackle challenging subjects and break down barriers while delivering serious messages.
Bright Hope in North West Leicestershire works within the area to support individuals who have a condition that leads to a reduction in quality of life or who have been diagnosed with a life limiting condition as well as offering support to their partner or carer.
The Organisation is set up to support bereaved families of nurses, remembering those nurses who gave their lives caring for patients during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
Through Changing Connections we are helping people across Rutland and the Melton Borough of Leicestershire to build stronger connections and support networks within their local community. By doing this we hope to help relieve pressure on health and other emergency services by reducing the number of people relying on them for things that the community is better placed to support.
Charity Link finds funding for local people in need who are experiencing financial hardship to provide essential items such as cookers, fridges, washing machines, beds, clothing, mobility/disability aids and in emergencies, support with food and utilities. These items improve wellbeing, dignity and standard of living and ensure that local people are independent, warm, clean, safe and fed. We work with 250 charities and community organisations to get the help to those who need it, when they need.

We work across Charnwood offering a range of support and advice services, providing a holistic approach to our work with strong partnerships alongside our health and wellbeing support projects. We help the disadvantaged within our community to identify and overcome the barriers and tackle the inequalities they face in today’s society. We offer a safe space embedded within communities providing support with a deep understanding of cultural barriers and language support.
Working in partnership with FareShare UK, FareShare Midlands is the largest food redistribution charity in the region, feeding over 80,000 people every week. We receive surplus food into our network of warehouses where it is sorted, stored and shared with around 800 charities and community groups. These members turn the food into delicious nutritious meals, affordable shopping and food parcels. As well as food, our members provide other vital services to people living in food poverty. In addition, our Employability programmes offer training, work experience and interviews to people who are struggling to find employment or re-enter the workforce.
